To all you modern day, sophisticated gentleman who want to transform your man cave into something that should be in the 20th century, then there’s a few quick things you can do before you get started on doing an entire design scheme.

A few things, and the major one is being, warm up your space.

I think historically a lot of man spaces are somewhere they just sink into, relax as they should be.

However, warming it up with just different throw blankets and a couple of pillows.

Ambient lighting is also great. So, having table lamps, floor lamps, different things like that to change up the whole atmosphere.

Just having pot lights in a basement definitely does not help warm up the space. Actually, it isn’t that comfortable either, having lights just glaring down on you.

But, it creates a mood, so having the different lighting creates a warmness, even some of the light bulbs you can put in your lamps makes a huge difference on the warmth of the space.

So, just throw a couple of extra things in there. At times, people may feel that they’re unnecessary things, but actually they add a whole lot to the space as well as your comfort levels.
